Most people lead a marital life in this world. Youth build castles in air and dream that marriage will be a passport to a blissful paradise. But as years roll by, the one who dreamt a great deal about marriage gets disillusioned and disenchanted. Some people may even regret their decision of marrying. They are fed up with the vexations and frustrations which are normal in married life. When the realization dawns on them it would be too late as old age would have set in. In spite of all this, history repeats itself generation after generation. Is there any remedy to this? Is there any path that leads us to peace, joy and everlasting happiness in family life?
Samsaara deepa guides all helpless householders from the stranglehold of ‘nine foes’ namely lust, anger, greed, passion, pride, jealously, egoism, egotism and suspicion, which as per Sri Guruji, are the main obstacles in leading a cheerful and charmful life. Sri Guruji assures us that family men can find real joy and happiness which is indeed the product of God’s grace, by pursuing Bhakti yoga. This boils down to the point that, if one is to enjoy peace and bliss in family, one should develop unswerving faith in the Supreme Lord who is a veritable ocean of Truth, Knowledge and Bliss absolute. Samsaara Deepa explains the importance of developing divine qualities namely love, patience, forgiveness, dutifulness and selflessness for a harmonious life, the most important of them being love and forgiveness. Sri Guruji says that at least one member in a family should be a shock absorber, preferably the eldest person, to maintain peace in the family.
Samsaara deepa stresses that every member of the family should perform a minimal sadhana of 24 minutes which helps in maintaining inner harmony that eventually results in harmony in family life. Samsara deepa explains that married life is a God-given opportunity to invite and worship God in the form of a child. In total, life is a voyage undertaken in the turbulent sea aboard the boat of unity towards the shore of joy. If the parents, wives, brothers, sisters and children live happily basking in the sun of God’s grace, God will dwell there too. Samsaara deepa encourages men of family to lead the life of a hermit at heart and householder at home.
