The Divine Park Movement has been launched by Doctorji, Dr.A.Chandrashekhara Udupa, on behalf of and under the direct guidance of his spiritual mentor and master, Sri Guruji, Swami Vivekananda.
It primarily aims at providing spiritual orientation and focus to us so that, while we remain engaged in our day-to-day worldly activities, we can simultaneously progress towards self-refinement and higher-level evolution- the main rationale behind our coming to the world-stage until we attain our ultimate destiny through self-realization and self-identification with God Himself. In giving this clarion call for elevating ourselves from the human level to the divine level and our planet from Bhoogriha to Daivagriha, the Divine Park Movement is echoing the same voice and sentiment as is heard from several other spiritual platforms in the country and overseas. Then, why have one more such movement? Not that there is per se anything wrong in having one more-transcendental channel-for our spiritual antennae, particularly so in view of the profound significance and challenge behind this man-making mission. The point to note is whether the Divine Park Movement seeks to achieve this lofty goal on a quantitatively different way so as to cater better to the .taste buds. of the present times and the modern society. It is some of these aspects which we shall address in what follows in order to demonstrate that the Divine Park Movement has its own distinctive recipe and unique flavours to offer for meeting its vital end-objective of man making mission
- The great Swami Vivekananda graced His repeated vivid visions to Rev. Doctorji (Dr. A.Chandrashekhara Udupa) continuously for one year and persuaded him to build a temple of Universal Religion without pledging the gold and without craving for public contributions. However, this temple was inaugurated by Rev. Swami Jagadatmanandaji, (now) President of Sri Ramakrishna Sharadashrama, Ponnampet-571216, Kodagu, Karnataka, on 14-1-1986.
- Swami Vivekananda manifests here in an invisible form and has been guiding all continuously in spiritual path. We refer to Him with utmost respect and reverence as GURUJI. Without any restriction of colour, caste, creed, Divine Park is open to all.
- Sri Ramakrishna, the true representative of all Religions is the main Deity here. Another beautiful oil painting of Sri Guruji is there above Sri Ramakrishna in the shrine which resembles Sri Guruji’s first special vision to Doctorji in 1970. Sri Ramakrishna is like the vehicle and Sri Guruji is like the steering wheel! Thus Sri Guruji disseminates silently the sacred salient practical vedantic messages of ‘zeroness’ to all here!!
